Bi-Han stops being Sub-Zero after being killed by Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion), when he descends into hell he is resurrected by Quan Chi, obtaining the pseudonym of Noob Saibot and his dark techniques.

After being resurrected as Noob Saibot, Bi-Han essentially becomes a worse version of himself. After being freed from his master's control, he also continues to fight on the side of evil despite that.
