Gyomei Himejima

He is a demon hunter belonging to the Demon Extermination Corps and Rock Pillar. He is 27 years old, very tall (227 centimeters) and his birthday is on August 23, although he is blind, he is dedicated to the company of demon hunters being part of the pillars, a row of the strongest hunters and is with other companions. A man with a hard exterior but a lover of cats. Unique weapon: Unlike other hunters, Gyomei used a Nichirin weapon specially adapted for his aggressive fighting style and his own physical disability, which consisted of a very long chain at the ends of which had a ball with spikes and an ax (ono) similar in shape to a Kusarigama which he could manipulate with great skill despite his blindness.

His appearance is sleepy and very muscular, he has short black hair with a thick scar that ran horizontally along his forehead, this scar being the result of his confrontation against the Demon who murdered the children under his care since he was previously dedicated to caring for children. He does not have irises, mainly because he was blind although he proves to be strong and being blind does not take away his advantage since he can walk normally and do normal activities. His characteristic clothing consisted of the classic attire of the members of the Demon Extermination Corps which consists of a black two-piece suit and white belt, sometimes a black turtleneck with a white border, the upper part consists of a long-sleeved shirt with three white buttons and has two small horizontal lines on the left chest area not so large and in the area of ​​​​the shirt it is noted that another long-sleeved but white shirt is worn underneath. His outfit did not have any visible customization except for the fact that he used thick bandages to hold his Hakama as pants. He wore no socks with his Zori sandals which had thick green strings, keeping the sleeves of his coat rolled up to show off his thick, strong arms. He also wore a long-sleeved green Haori with white edges which had writing on each side. He also usually wore a necklace of thick red beads around his neck.

A very religious person and can constantly be seen frequently uttering the mantra "Amitābha" in situations that sadden him and offering prayers to the people around him. Most of the time he remains calm, he was kind and very emotional. He cries frequently in all kinds of situations being someone very sensitive who can cry for almost anything even the smallest thing (so treat him nicely). He loves cats, he is usually protective with children or people younger than him, worrying about children and sometimes showing himself sweet and friendly, but he can become very serious and intimidating even though sometimes he is not intentional, once he meets someone he defends them trusting the person so he can become somewhat naive but he is attentive and listens to others carefully.

Gyomei's mother died in childbirth and his father died during a pandemic. Gyomei Himejima was left blind by a fever, and before becoming a Hashira, he lived in a temple raising nine orphaned children. After an invading demon killed all but one of the children, Gyomei beat the demon with his fists until dawn. He was falsely imprisoned for murdering the children, but was saved from execution by Ubuyashiki. Afterwards, he would become a Demon Slayer and was promoted to the role of Stone Pillar after only two months in the Demon Slayer Corps.
