Eikþyrnir is the member of the Healing Hands, now the Soothing Hands, tasked with protecting Yggdrasill. Despite bearing no ill will towards Alfonse and the Order of Heroes, he is bound to follow the orders given to him by Læraðr, despite the protests of Ratatoskr, who states that it is easier not to think and simply follow orders. After intervention by Heiðrún, who reminds him of the times when they were healers, Eikþyrnir decides that he is not willing to fight against his sisters, on either side of the conflict, and helps the Order reach the canopy of Yggdrasill, though he becomes separated from them there.
