Kageyama is a considerably tall boy (180 cm), thin and with a white complexion, somewhat pale if he spends a lot of time in the sun. As his skin is this color, it is difficult for him to hide any sign of embarrassment or blush that appears on his face. He has a somewhat peculiar look, which seems to manifest a deep hatred when he looks at someone he dislikes (as he did with Hinata), in addition to almost always having a frown (due to his character) so he generally seems to be angry. His hair is short and straight, spread forward, jet black, accompanied by his dark blue eyes, quite captivating.

If there is something that characterizes Kageyama, it is his particular character, with little tolerance and somewhat solitary. You can see that he is very individualistic and seeks to improve himself, doing things his way. He is also quite grumpy and grumpy. It is difficult to gain his trust, but he respects each person's individual abilities and that is the only way he manages to play as a team. He is meticulous in details, so few things go unnoticed by him.

He is severe with himself and with others, often demands a lot of himself and sees himself as an ogre, however he is someone to trust. He is a perfectionist, as well as conservative, reserved and silent, but he defends himself when necessary. He has a hard time being kind, he doesn't know how to be kind, or how to respond to affectionate gestures, however he may be embarrassed by certain things. Also, he can be somewhat arrogant, but never cocky, as he has not boasted of the former title to him. What's more, after his former team rejected him, he can't stand anyone addressing him as "King" because it is the nickname his former teammates had given him to define him as "Arrogant and Selfish" in games, also as "Oppressor".
