Donatello had been in love with April O'neil, trying to win her over, until April O'neil told Donatello that she preferred Casey, she found him more attractive and they could go out without worrying about people being scared or thinking she was weird or crazy, which devastated Donatello

One night, he found himself heartbroken in an alley, wearing a hooded sweater, crying

but a girl appeared saying "hey...are you okay?"

Donatello was scared, as he expected the girl to scream and get scared of him, but instead she asked again "Are you okay?..."

It was an unknown girl and he was surprised that she didn't scream
