Empty Void

Empty Void (虚空のヴォイド, Kokuu no Voido) is the leader and founder of the Ninja Village. All of the ninja in the village refer to him as "That Man" (あの御方, Ano Okata).

In the past, he used to be Blast's partner in searching for the mysterious cubes, until he was influenced by God and became a kaijin.

In the past, he looked very different from now, as he had not yet become a monster. His clothing consisted of reinforced armor, a belt, a scarf, and glasses, as well as carrying 2 katanas on his back. He had long hair tied in a ponytail.

As a kaijin, Void has a sinister appearance with spiked skin, sharp teeth, and flaming hair. Initially depicted with a thin and emaciated physique, likely due to past injuries inflicted by Blast, Void undergoes a substantial transformation upon absorbing Garou's divine power, becoming muscular and robust.

Having been Blast's partner for a long time, Empty Void was probably a good person until he fell into God's temptation and transformed into a monster. Once turned into a monster, he showed arrogance and carelessness when facing his old partner despite their friendship, ending with not only his defeat at the hands of Blast, but also being left in a coma for 15 years.

According to Flashy Flash, Empty Void founded the ninja village with the goal of creating minions of God similar to Void himself,[2] displaying disregard for others and a significant lack of empathy as he was not above subjecting young children to inhumane and cruel training in order to fulfill his purpose, even disposing of those who were "unfit".

Background:

Empty Void worked alongside Blast in searching for and analyzing the God Cubes. Some time later, he transformed into a monster upon receiving the entity's powers and challenged Blast, but was defeated.[3] Although his old friend did not kill him, he did leave him in a coma, so the ninja village placed him in a regeneration chamber to speed up his healing.[4]

During an adventure of Sonic the Speed ​​of Sound and Flashy Flash in the depths of the ninja village facilities, they found, in addition to one of the mysterious cubes, the body of Empty Void in the process of regeneration, sporting a monstrous appearance.

Monster Association Arc:

Immediately after Garou's defeat at the hands of Saitama and the Hero Hunter begins to lose his God powers, Void appears and absorbs divine energy from the sky to revitalize himself. Blast notices this and attacks him, but Empty Void completes the absorption and, fully recovered, cuts off his former comrade's energy orb. The hero resumes the offensive, however, the ninja manages to escape by blending into space.

Ninja Arc:

After Sonic is defeated by Saitama again and is recovering, he is approached by the Celestial Ninja Group. This group consists of ninja from the village's previous graduating classes, including Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame. They tell Sonic that "that man" is almost awake and reveal their plans to kill Flashy Flash and Blast, make Empty Void their commander, and emerge from the shadows to conquer the world with their superior ninjitsu skills.

As Blast, Saitama, and Flashy Flash hold a meeting at the Hero Association headquarters in A-City, Empty Void announces his return by attacking the facility with his Dimensional Slash technique. Blast manages to teleport the headquarters away in time to prevent its destruction at the hands of Void, whose movement devastates the area surrounding the building. The number one hero then reveals to the heroes about Empty Void's absorption of Garou's divine power and states that he has become much stronger than in the past.

The Celestial Ninjas confront Flashy and Sonic, but are eventually defeated. Before dying, Violent Force states that they are no match for "that man" and that they will soon wish they had been killed by them. When Sonic believes that Void has already arrived, "Flashy Flash" shows a mysterious cube to give to Sonic. The real Flashy Flash is unable to prevent contact between the cube and the ninja, and after cutting the silhouette that impersonated him, Emptpy Void appears behind him, calling him too slow. The hero tries to hit him, but the kaijin easily evades it and hits him in the chest with the cube.

Despite having touched both of them, both Flashy and Sonic reject the cube's temptations, leaving Void disappointed and intent on ending the battle quickly. He refers to the fact that a duo who are confident in their abilities cannot maintain a relationship of equals, stating that it is inevitable that they will be separated right here. The duo does not fully understand his words and rushes to his position, but dodges them and moves into hyperspace. There, surrounded by a bunch of bubbles representing parallel worlds, Empty Void takes the one from the main universe and launches his Dimensional Cut, tricking Flash into killing Sonic.

The ninja leader makes one last offer to fight alongside him in an effort to wipe out humanity and tries to touch him with the cube again, but is surprised by the sudden appearance of his old friend Blast, who knocks him away. Empty Void instantly recovers and, furious, exclaims the name of the number one hero.

While his combat abilities have not been demonstrated, it is safe to assume that Empty Void is an extremely powerful opponent. He is regarded as the most powerful ninja to ever walk the Earth by all the ninja who graduated from the village, indicating that he clearly has abilities at the S-Class level. In Blast's own words, the two were on par, though Void gained the upper hand after gaining the powers of a God. [5] Still, Blast managed to defeat him and was left in a coma for 15 years.

Following Garou's defeat at the hands of Saitama, which caused the Hero Hunter's divine power to escape from him, Void absorbed the entirety of that energy in order to revitalize himself from a weakened state to a significantly enhanced condition. This absorption of power heals him of the injuries sustained during his battle with Blast 15 years ago that left him very weak. Blast comments that he has not only been revitalized, but has also grown stronger as a result of this absorption. Discussing this incident with Sitch, Blast states that Empty Void now poses an even greater threat than Garou.[6]

Physical Abilities:

Immense Strength: Void possesses considerable physical strength, being able to effortlessly carry a mysterious cube in his hand while battling Flashy Flash and Sonic. Said cube is so heavy that it sinks as if it were solid rock.

Immense Speed ​​and Reflexes: Void possesses an astonishing level of speed and reflexes, placing him among the fastest individuals in the series. His supreme mastery over ninjutsu grants him enhanced quickness and agility. For example, he effortlessly outmaneuvered Flashy Flash, an S-Class hero known for his extraordinary speed. Furthermore, Void has proven capable of keeping up with Blast, the highest-class hero, who is exceptionally fast and agile in combat.

According to Gale Wind, he can perform humanly impossible ninjutsu moves four to five times in 0.2 seconds, and even if all the members of the Celestial Ninja Group attacked him at once, Empty Void could take them all out as if he were playing with children.

Enhanced Longevity: According to Gale Wind, whenever Empty Void found a strong and healthy body, he would drain away all of its blood and innards to either replace its organs or consume them.

Multiple Hearts: Gale Wind states that she has multiple heartbeats, indicating that she has more than one heart.[7]

Vacuum Resistance: Void has demonstrated the ability to remain suspended in space without suffering any ill effects. This suggests that he can survive in the vacuum of space for at least a certain period.

Transformation: Empty Void can transform his appearance. After absorbing Garou's divine power, he underwent a significant change in appearance: his hair grew enormously and he gained a mask, likely as a visual representation of the power he had gained. However, when facing Flashy Flash and Sonic, he reverted to his more humanoid appearance, presumably to conserve his energy.

Supernatural Abilities:

Dimensional Travel: Like Blast, Empty Void can move between dimensions.

Energy Absorption: Void possesses the ability to absorb energy from others. Following Saitama's defeat of Garou, Void absorbed the divine energy emanating from the Hero Hunter's body, which not only revitalized him from a weakened state to a vastly enhanced condition, but also elevated his abilities greatly, allowing him to fend off some of Blast's attacks shortly afterward.

Illusion Induction: Void can generate illusions that disorient his targets' senses, allowing for easier attacks. He used this ability to confuse Sonic and catch him off guard by causing the ninja to perceive him as Flashy Flash.

Intangible Interaction: Much like Blast, Void possesses the ability to manipulate space to a certain extent. With his bare hands, he can interact and grab the fabric of space around him like a blanket, using it to hide and disappear from sight.

Fighting Style:

Ninjutsu Master: Considered to be the strongest ninja to ever exist, he is highly skilled in the art of ninjutsu. He is evidently proficient in the use of an absurd variety of weapons, which he brings into battle.

Known Techniques:

"Dimensional Slash" (次元斬, Jigenzan): A powerful technique referred to as one of God's powers, described by Blast as an interference from the dimension God resides in, ignoring distance, energy, and size. [8] To use it, Void enters a dimension or plane of existence outside of the usual causality of the universe, where he senses an infinite number of "bubbles" representing possibilities and parallel universes. [9] By selecting a specific one, Void unleashes powerful slashes across dimensions and worlds. [10] In its first manifestation, Void unleashed devastating, direct slashes from this higher plane aimed at the Hero Association headquarters, splitting the surface and creating deep craters in the ground. [11][12] This attack would have undoubtedly destroyed the headquarters had Blast not teleported the building away.

Spiral Wind Blade (螺旋風刃, Rasen Fūjin): Void spins rapidly and launches multiple slashes in a 360-degree radius at high speed. This move creates the effect of a storm of spiraling slashes surrounding him.

Swords: Empty Void carries two swords on his back.

Mysterious Cube: Void has a mysterious cube in his possession. By inducing someone to make physical contact with the cube or forcibly press them against it, he can activate its ability to instantly render them unconscious for a temporary period. While unconscious, the victim experiences a vision or dream in which they meet God, who offers them power. He attempted to turn Sonic and Flash into monsters using this method.[13][14]
