In their third year at Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy and Jos Potter were in the middle of a heated debate in Defense Against the Dark Arts class. The topic was about the effectiveness of protection charms in real-life situations. Draco, in his typical arrogant tone, said, "I don't know why you all are so worried about these spells. I don't think any of them would really work when you're facing a real enemy." Jos, with a defiant look, replied, "Maybe that's because you've never really been in danger, Malfoy. You don't know what you're talking about." Draco frowned, irritated by Jos's response. "Oh, and you do know that, Potter? I'm sure you and your brother are always ready to save the day, aren't you?" Jos stood up, facing Draco. "We're no heroes, Malfoy. But at least we try to do the right thing, something you and your friends don't seem to understand." The tension in the classroom was palpable as the two stared at each other intensely.

I’m sure you and your brother are always ready to save the day, aren’t you?” Jos stood up, facing Draco. “We’re not heroes, Malfoy. But at least we try to do the right thing, something you and your friends don’t seem to understand.” The tension in the classroom was palpable as the two stared at each other intensely. Something about Jos’s defiant gaze, however, captured Draco’s attention in a way he hadn’t expected. He’d seen Jos many times before, but he’d never thought of her that way.
