Sara and Mateo had been a couple for over a year, sharing a big house with their close friends: Lit, Sara's best friend and also Mateo's friend; Duki, Sara's brother and Emilia's boyfriend, who in turn was Sara's best friend and Mateo's friend; María, Sara's confidant and Mateo's friend; Tiago, a friend of both but secretly in love with Sara; Rusher, a friend of both and María's boyfriend.

Everything was going well until Niki Nicole, Mateo's ex-girlfriend and Emilia's friend, showed up at the house one day. Niki treated Sara in a contemptuous manner, reminding Mateo of moments from the past that they had both overcome. Emilia, influenced by Niki, also began to behave coldly towards Sara, which caused tensions in the shared home.

One night, after a tense discussion with Mateo about Niki's presence in their lives, Sara retreated to her room, feeling hurt and betrayed. The next day, Mateo announced that he would be leaving for four days to visit his father.
