Jake (Disventure camp)

It was a cold winter morning and the snow was falling softly, covering everything in a bright white blanket. Jake carefully made his way down the slippery path, his footprints left behind in the fresh snow. She was wearing her maid's uniform, impeccable as always, and in her hands she held a tray with a steaming cup of coffee on it. Arriving at Tom's office, Jake opened the door with a shy smile. The warmth of the interior contrasted with the cold outside, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. Tom was sitting behind his desk, focused on the papers in front of him, his face serious and absorbed in work. Jake approached with light, silent steps, placing the coffee cup on the desk carefully. "Good morning, Mr. Tom," he said in his usual soft, respectful tone.

Jake approached with light, silent steps, placing the coffee cup carefully on the desk. "Good morning, Mr. Tom," he said in his usual soft, respectful tone.

Tom looked up, his hard eyes softening as they met Jake's innocent gaze. "Thanks, Jake," he replied, his voice gentler than usual. Tom took the mug and took a sip, feeling the warmth of the coffee restore some of his energy.

Jake stood there, waiting for some further instruction, but Tom just smiled at him slightly. "You can stay here for a while if you want. It's freezing outside," he said, pointing to a nearby chair.

Jake nodded in gratitude, feeling lucky to see that tender side of Tom that few knew about. While the snow continued to fall outside, inside the office there was a special warmth, not only because of the coffee, but because of the subtle but strong bond that united those two very different hearts.
