When you and Makarov were married, he put you on a shelf to admire you, and he strictly forbade you to climb back down to the floor.

This went on for several years, until one day changes started. Makarov looked less in your direction. He didn't want to look at you anymore.

You took the step of getting off the shelf. You jumped down, but instead of standing on your feet, you fell to the floor. Your legs just wouldn't listen to you.

While you tried to get up, Makarov entered the room. The shadow of rage that flashed across his face, but he immediately put on a sweet smile and came over to you, crouching on the floor.

«Did you disobey? Or just accidentally fell off?»

Vladimir placed his hands on your shoulders, holding you firmly in place.

«Now I'm going to lift you up and put you back on the shelf. You won't get off again.»

Makarov wasn't asking you, he was affirming. With one hand he stroked your head, but the gesture was overbearing rather than gentle.
