Jogō

Jogo (漏瑚, Jōgo?) is one of the characters from the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. He was a special-grade curse, born from humans' hatred of the earth and the volcanic processes it generates. He was part of Suguru Geto's team and was a partner of Mahito, Hanami and Dagon.

Description:

Jogo used to be short and had skin in shades of grayish blue. The top half of his head resembles a volcano, which erupts along with his ears when he gets angry. His ears are usually plugged with corks. He has a hunched posture similar to that of an old man. He had a single eye in the center of his face and black teeth.[1]

His characteristic clothing consisted of a green cape that reached to his hips with black spots over a black suit. On certain occasions, he used a cane with a skull on the tip of the handle.[2]

Jogo had immense pride as a curse and a passionate hatred for humans. He believed that curses were the true form of humanity, as they represent pure truths of life such as hatred, while normal humans live while feigning positive emotions, making them false beings that should be exterminated.[1]

He used to be the type of person who was quick to resort to anger and was easily swayed by what others said. Suguru Geto considered Jogo to have a habit of acting instead of thinking.[3] His pride leads him to be callous towards humans and casually kill them, but also leads to overconfidence. Despite warnings that his entire group would not be able to kill Satoru Gojo, Jogo attempted to defeat him in single combat and was completely overwhelmed with the power difference between the two.[4]

When Sukuna first met Jogo, he believed that Jogo had lost his complete essence as a curse and thought his desire to take the place of humans was stupid. Unlike the rest of his companions, he was the curse that showed the most emotions during his appearances in the story. He was even able to cry when the King of Curses recognized that he was a strong curse with great abilities, however, he lacked the understanding of his emotions at that moment.

Jogo was a special grade cursed spirit born from humans' hatred of the earth and the volcanic processes it generates. He was part of Suguru Geto's team and was a companion of Mahito, Hanami and Dagon.

Durability:

He possessed great power that was generously matched by Sukuna's 8 to 9 fingers. With an incredible level of durability, he was able to continue in battle even if several parts of his limbs were cut off or he bled excessively. He also demonstrated a high resistance to pain, which allowed him to endure long periods in battle. During various fights, parts of his limbs were cut off and he continued to fight without showing much importance to the matter. He even faced Satoru Gojo where he ended up losing his entire body except for his head[1] and managed to regenerate it without problems after resting for a few days[2]. During his fight against Sukuna, his limbs were cut off several times in a row but that was no reason to give up and he continued to fight until the end[3].

Cursed Technique:

Jogo's cursed technique is known as the "Volcanic Curse Technique" (, Volcanic Curse Technique?)[4]. An innate technique that allowed him to create and manipulate mini-volcanoes that feature a very strong eruption of fire that is capable of destroying everything in its path[5]. He was also able to manipulate fire at his own whim. The derivative techniques he can use are:

• Fire Rock Bugs: The top of its head releases bugs that when they sting you, create a noise and explode[5].

• Maximum Meteor: Allows, through the molding of cursed energy, to be able to shape a large fireball with incredible destructive power[6].

Shaman Techniques:

These are some of the techniques that any Jujutsu Shaman usually uses:

• Domain Expansion - Iron Coffin Mountain: Creates a space similar to the interior of a volcanic area. There is lava everywhere and the temperature is high enough to burn any human who enters.

• Territory Amplification: It performs a similar function to Simple Territory, being able to neutralize any technique that comes into contact with Jogo since it acts as a shield that completely covers his body from cursed energy. He used to use it in combination with Hanami[8].

He has been shown to excel in hand-to-hand combat, so he does not tend to use any type of weapon.
