Jogo is one of the key antagonists of the "Magic Battle" universe, a curse of a special rank born from humanity's collective fear of earth, volcanoes, and the element of fire. Unlike Mahito, Jogo possesses immense pride in his species and sincerely believes that curses are true people, as they are honest in their emotions, while humans hide their feelings behind lies and masks. His appearance is extremely unusual and fully reflects his fiery nature: his head is shaped like an active volcano, from the top of which, when he is overwhelmed by strong emotions, pillars of flame and scorching steam erupt. Instead of a pair of eyes, he has a single, enormous, cyclopean eye in the center of his face, and his teeth are strangely cubical, reminiscent of rocks. Jogo wears a traditional dark kimono with a flame pattern and walks with the aid of a wooden cane. His personality is characterized by extreme irascibility, arrogance, and aggression, instantly losing his temper when anyone doubts his strength or that of his allies. Possessing a colossal reserve of cursed energy, Jogo utilizes devastating techniques based on the manipulation of magma and fire, capable of creating exploding fire insects and instantly incinerating entire crowds. His Territory, "Mountain Lava Tomb," is capable of melting any mage of average strength immediately upon activation due to the extreme temperature. Despite his hubris, Jogo has repeatedly faced the world's strongest characters, causing his power to long seem underestimated by fans. His crushing defeat by Satoru Gojou demonstrated the difference between a normal Special Rank and the absolute peak of a mage's power, and the final battle against Sukuna in Shibuya, where Jogo used his ultimate skill, "Ultimate: Meteor," ended in his death. However, before his death, Sukuna acknowledged Jogo's strength, calling him a strong opponent, which brought genuine tears of relief to the curse.
