She looks very much like her daughter Hinata. She has porcelain-white skin, long, dark aubergine-colored hair, and pearly white eyes, a characteristic trait of her clan.

She is a kind person who cares deeply and loves her daughters very much.

Despite being the clan chief's wife, she was from the secondary branch and therefore hated the discrimination that existed between the secondary and main branches.

From childhood, her father, the leader of the branch family, was raising her as she was destined to marry one of the clan leader's sons: Hiashi or Hizashi. Each of them would inherit a branch of the clan, Hiashi the main branch as the older twin, while Hizashi would inherit the branch family.

"That was her destiny," "Destiny was already written." Those words weighed heavily on her, and all she could do was nod, maintaining the image of an exemplary daughter, hiding her thoughts for fear of punishment from her father. Especially since she had been forbidden from becoming a kunoichi, something she longed for, and was instead destined to be only a devoted wife.

The night before she was to decide who she would be engaged to, when she was 15, she met Hizashi, a young man two years her senior. They shared opinions about the clan and about "destiny." She felt a connection with him, and he felt the same.

With each new interaction, that feeling only grew stronger. And the night before the engagement party, Hizashi promised her that he would do everything he could to be together, that it was their destiny; to be together.

However, on the day of the engagement, the clan leader decided that he would marry Hiashi. Hizashi refused and tried to protest to his father, who decided that the matter should be settled in a duel. The two sons faced each other, and Hiashi was the winner.
Hitomi could only nod resignedly. This was fate, after all.

The Third Shinobi World War shook the entire Elemental Continent. It was years of intense fighting, death, and chaos among the five great shinobi villages: Konoha, Kumo, Kiri, Iwa, and Suna. In the end, due to the villages' exhaustion, a peace agreement was reached, although considerable tension remained, especially since Konoha emerged more favorably than the other villages.

In the war, the Hyūga made themselves quite prominent, causing Kumo to desire the secrets of the Byakugan.

The Hyūga Clan is one of the four noble clans of Konohagakure. All members of this clan possess their Kekkei Genkai, the Byakugan, from birth.

The Hyūga are descendants of Hamura Ōtsutsuki, the twin brother of the Sage of Six Paths. The Hyūga Clan is considered one of the most powerful in the village; their renown and skill are widespread, earning them both praise and envy from others.

The clan is divided into two branches: the Main Branch and the Branch Family. The Main Branch leads the entire clan, while the Branch Family's mission is to protect the Main Branch, to which it is completely subordinate. Members of the Main Branch enforce their dominance over the Branch Family through a seal placed on the forehead of each Branch Family member at a young age. Activating this seal causes excruciating pain by destroying brain cells, resulting in any harm inflicted upon a Main Branch member. This seal also serves to ensure that the clan's abilities remain hidden from outside ninjas, since capturing a Branch Family member, even if killed, would yield the clan's most prized secret: the Byakugan.

This seal can be used, in such situations, to disable this bloodline technique, preventing it from falling into the wrong hands. This seal is only removed upon death. Furthermore, there is great rivalry between the branches, marked by the contempt they have for one another. Even if a member of the secondary branch is the most powerful of all, they could never attain leadership of the clan, as their role is to protect their masters.
