King Aegon II Targaryen was King of the Seven Kingdoms from 129 to 131 AC. Following the death of his father, King Viserys I, Aegon faced his older sister Rhaenyra in the civil war known as the Dance of Dragons.

Married to his younger sister, Helaena, he had three children with her, though none reached adulthood. His dragon was Sunfire, also known as "the Golden One", the origin of the personal emblem that Aegon used during the civil war.[1]Appearance and Character According to one semi-canon source, Aegon resembled his father in appearance.[2] He was a handsome young man,[3] though he had a brooding look in his eyes and a snarling mouth. Aegon grew a thin moustache instead of a beard. Overall, he did not look like a warrior.[3] He wore the iron and ruby ​​crown of Aegon I Targaryen, and carried the Valyrian steel sword Blackfyre.[4]
