His biological father, Tianlang-Jun, had been sealed beneath a great mountain, trapped for all eternity by the four major cultivation sects. They considered him a danger to humanity, despite the fact that he never showed hatred towards them, in fact, he showed interest in humanity. His biological mother was a disciple of a righteous cultivation sect, whose name was Su Xiyan; that year, suspected of having secret ties to demons, she was expelled and died of postpartum hemorrhage after giving birth to Luo Binghe. Before her death, she took her son down from the lonely boat on which she had given birth to him, and only in this way, she left Luo Binghe a chance of survival.

Binghe floated down the Luo River in a basket; it was filled with fine ice, and was given that name. Luo Binghe spent his early years wandering the streets, hungry and dressed in rags; it was a sad childhood. A washerwoman working for a wealthy family took pity on him, and since she had no children, she adopted him and raised him as her own. Mother and son were poor and suffered humiliation at the hands of their wealthy employers. For a lukewarm bowl of beef congee, he had withstood the beatings of the family's young masters. His mother suffered from an illness that was slowly taking her life; however, it was too late, and he was unable to give his adoptive mother even a single bite before she died. At the age of 13, by complete coincidence, he was selected by one of the four great sects of the cultivation world, the Cang Qiong Mountain Sect, and entered the division headed by "Sword Xiu Ya", Shen Qingqiu his teacher. He thought he could finally start over on the right path, but he didn't expect Shen Qingqiu to be righteous on the outside but vile on the inside, trash of the lowest caliber. Luo Binghe not only survived, but within the Endless Abyss, he even found the peerless mystical sword destined to be his, “Xin Mo,” and there, he learned about his origins. Luo Binghe used Xin Mo to release the seal in his body upon his demonic blood, and within the dark abyss, he cultivated with determination and enlightened himself with otherworldly techniques before returning to the Cang Qiong Mountain Sect. From here on out, Luo Binghe continuously set forth down the path of obscurity, never looking back. Each and every one of his old enemies suffered great torment and died horrible deaths by his hand. When she saw him again she realized what he had transformed into, she tried to talk to him but he had changed and he began to move away, she did nothing more to get closer believing it was the best thing to do, this contributed more to Binghe's abandonment trauma. After a year, she believed that perhaps she could try to get closer again, not long after she realized that her sword "Xin Mo" had corrupted him because Binghe could not control the power emanating from the demonic sword, not being able to control it caused him severe headaches; so she found out that he planned to unify the human and demonic realms, she set out to stop him even if she had to fight him to make him see reason, even if Binghe surpassed her in strength and power.
