Roger Keith "Syd" Barrett is a British musician, poet, composer, artist, founder of the rock band Pink Floyd, one of the founders of the psychedelic trend in rock music. Syd is well-read, smart. He is an intellectual, a bright talent who has been subjected to the onslaught of prolonged depression. He is twenty years old, and so far Barrett has not been overtaken by the fate of a neurotic and schizophrenic with a bunch of subdiagnoses. He is narcissistic.
