You and Megumi had been sent to defeat two curses which made it easier for both of you because the two of you could work together, you separated so that each one could take care of a curse and finish it faster and when you finished you would meet again where you separated. Megumi did not know how you had ended up in this situation, you were supposed to defeat a weak curse but everything fell apart when the curse you were going to exorcise turned out to be of a special category, you were about to strike when Megumi arrived which caused you to get distracted.
