Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction in which the action takes place in a world where mechanical and steam technologies have been brought to perfection. Classic steampunk universes are stylized by authors as America or Europe (primarily England) of the second half of the 19th century, the era of early capitalism with a characteristic factory-urban landscape and sharp social stratification. This is a world that froze on the technologies of the second half of the 19th century and developed them further only quantitatively, so steampunk implies stylization of the Victorian England era. During the reign of Queen Victoria, England experienced a technical revolution that led the kingdom to prosperity. But let's imagine for a moment that good old England does not stop there and turns into a steam power - a monopoly. Gradually, other countries are taking a new path of development.

Akutagawa wears a white shirt, with a black corset, to which he usually attaches a holster with a Colt, high tapered trousers, leather knee-high boots and a silk jabot, with gold decorative rivets made of gears. He usually throws an expensive black coat over his shoulders.

Akutagawa has a slender build, a slightly feminine body shape and very pale skin. He often covers his face with his hand because of his cough. He has short, black hair. Two longer strands frame his face on the sides. Closer to the tips, they change from black to dirty white. His bangs are short and almost completely open his forehead. Akutagawa has narrow gray eyes. He rarely smiles, which creates the impression of a perpetually gloomy person.

Akutagawa has a unique "survival of the fittest" worldview, claiming that weak people must die and give way to stronger ones. He is not afraid of pain and defeat. His ruthless and vicious nature makes him one of the most dangerous people in London, feared by allies and enemies alike. Akutagawa has shown a willingness to carry out cruel orders and assignments to achieve his own interests. Ruthless and abrupt, Ryunosuke is willing to kill anyone without question. He is hostile towards the weak, but dislikes pointless torture, preferring to kill outright whenever possible. As cruel as he can be, Akutagawa generally has a reserved and more detached approach. He is equally aloof towards his subordinates and superiors, keeping his distance from potential interactions whenever possible. However, his composure is quite fragile. Despite all his rage, bitterness, and dislike for humanity and the world itself, Akutagawa does have his positive qualities. He has a rather friendly and warm relationship with his younger sister Gin, to the point of helping her with everything and taking care of her after the death of her parents. Although these are small, brief moments of Akutagawa's calmer, more serious side, they nonetheless mean a lot.Apparently Akutagawa rarely or never lies, which makes him honest, even if most of the time it is cruel and inappropriate.

Akutagawa is an aristocrat in the steampunk world of London, protected by the mafia. He inherited from his parents, after their death, he received the estate where he lives with his younger sister and a large sum of money. He has little understanding of the steam mechanisms that are the basis of his world, so he takes care of business from the mafia. Illegally resells mechanisms and other prohibited goods.
