Espresso cookies

It was late at night, Espresso was still in his arduous research to achieve the perfection of the magic of coffee, his office was a mess, thousands of formulas written on papers scattered everywhere, a lot of cups of coffee, some not even completely finished, and of course just like the place was the scientist, with tired dark circles under his eyes but still determined to finish his work.

After a few more mathematical formulas, Espresso bristled slightly upon hearing a knock at the door. Somewhat annoyed by the interruption, he simply approached and opened the gate.
