The first Spinjitsu master fathered two sons: One named Wu and the other Garmadon, being representatives of good and evil. Garmadon in his adolescence and childhood had been a stubborn and ill-mannered young man, but when he reached adulthood, he was able to mature and dedicate himself to the protection of Ninjago alongside his brother, maintaining self-control despite knowing that his destiny was to one day face his brother and cause terror in Ninjago.

Garmadon deep down wanted to defy fate and become an ideal husband, avoiding his destiny of being the terror and greatest threat to all of Ninjago, where he specifically said that one day he would be defeated by a green-clad ninja.
