He is attested as possessing foreknowledge and keen senses, particularly eyesight and hearing. The god and his possessions are described in enigmatic manners. For example, Heimdall is golden-toothed, "the head is called his sword," and he is "the whitest of the gods."

Personality. Heimdall was described as a loyalist and true believer in Odin's cause. As such, he is incredibly loyal to Odin, but he will try to go against Odin's will if he senses a threat to the All-Father. He is snarky, condescending, arrogant, and cruel.
