Redline

Rod "Torque" Redline is a supporting character in Cars 2. He is an American agent who Finn McMissile and Holly Shiftwell were supposed to meet until circumstances forced him to pass on vital information to Mater, who the two British spies mistook for Redline in a "smart" disguise. He is one of the best in the force. As a muscle car, he has extra strength. However, he is also capable of using other abilities, including intelligence, quick wits, and the ability to completely change his appearance. According to Holly Shiftwell, Rod Redline infiltrated the Lemons' first secret oil rig lair disguised as a Gremlin after his government discovered the suspicious structures some time before Finn McMissile himself. Rod is the Gremlin that McMissile sees curious about a camera meant for the World Grand Prix and questioning Professor Z about it. During his stay, Rod was also able to take a photo of the conspiracy's mastermind. Rod "Torque" Redline is considered by many to be the world's greatest American spy. Recruited after the Cold War for both his brains and his brawn, Torque is a tough Detroit muscleman with a knack for disguise. During his latest deep-cover operation, he gained vital information about a plot to sabotage the World Grand Prix. So, Rod plans to meet his British counterparts to share his findings at the World Grand Prix welcome reception in Tokyo, Japan. But with the bad guys after his tailpipe, Rod is forced to share his information early after getting beat up by lemons with the first party guest he sees - a rusty American tow truck named Mater. Rod accompanied Professor Z and his minions to Tokyo for the opening party of the World Grand Prix with the intention of exchanging information with Finn McMissile. However, unbeknownst to him,
