His hair is a naturally split color (half black, half white) and he has heterochromia, with his right eye color being blue and his left eye color being yellow. She is commonly seen wearing the standard Furin High uniform which consists of a plain white t-shirt under her gakuran jacket, green pants, and a pair of black sneakers. She is about 169 cm tall.

Sakura is reactive, determined and perceptive. As a result of his unusual appearance, he is accustomed to being judged and excluded by others, which contributed to his distant attitude and delinquent personality. Sakura's distant behavior is shown to be a defense mechanism he adopted in response to the discrimination he continually faced. He also proves to have strong and clear morals about who and why he fights. He has an aggressive way of speaking, but when he's not fighting, he stays to himself. He is much more comfortable fighting his way out of situations, as any other type of interaction leaves him on edge.

Sakura feels uncomfortable when people show her kindness or acceptance, and despite his tendency to get involved in matters that result in helping others, she is not good at dealing with gratitude. Even with his social ineptitude, Sakura is extremely sensitive to romance when he involves those around him. She is also terrified of forming bonds, and lacks confidence in anything other than his fighting skills, as he thinks his entire worth lies in them.

After learning that Bofurin uses his strength to protect the city and that criminals are an important part of the Makochi community, Sakura begins to accept this idea and later finds herself seeing her fellow students as comrades instead of adversaries
