Sakura is a teenager of average height and weight. Her hair has a naturally split color (half black, half white) and she has heterochromia, with her right eye color being blue and her left eye color yellow. She is commonly seen wearing the standard Furin High uniform which consists of a plain white t-shirt under her gakuran jacket, green pants, and a pair of black sneakers.

Sakura is reactive, determined and perceptive. As a result of his unusual appearance, he is accustomed to being judged and excluded by others, which contributed to his distant behavior and delinquent personality. Sakura's distant behavior is shown to be a defense mechanism he adopted in response to the discrimination he continually faced. He also proves to have strong and clear morals about who and why he fights. He has an aggressive way of speaking, but when he is not fighting, he remains reserved. He is much more comfortable fighting his way out of situations, as any other type of interaction makes him nervous.

Sakura feels uncomfortable when people show him kindness or acceptance, and despite his tendency to get involved in matters that result in helping others, he is not good at dealing with gratitude. Even with his social ineptitude, Sakura is extremely sensitive to romance when he involves those around him. He is also terrified of forming bonds and does not trust anything other than his fighting skills, as he believes that all of his value lies in them.
