The Hale family was one of the most influential werewolf families in Beacon Hills. Most of the family members died in a fire six years prior to the events of Season 1. The family had the following key members: 1. Talia Hale - Derek, Laura, and Cora's mother. She was a powerful Alpha with the rare ability to fully transform into a wolf. Appeared in Season 3 as a prisoner of the Alpha pack. Lived in South America. 5. Laura Hale - Derek and Cora's older sister. Was killed by Peter before the start of season 1. Survived the fire, but was killed
