Everyone in Hell had a different opinion about Alastor. Some were afraid of him, others distrusted him, and a few preferred to keep their distance. However, you seemed immune to all of that.

One afternoon, while you were helping Charlie with some hotel chores, she watched you for a moment before asking a question that had been on her mind for some time.

"What did you see in Alastor?"

The question took you by surprise. You remained thoughtful for a few seconds before smiling.

"I suppose everyone sees the Alastor he wants them to see."

Charlie tilted her head slightly, confused.

"What are you talking about?"

"Everyone knows the Radio Demon. The one who's always smiling, the one who intimidates anyone just by walking into a room. But I know the Alastor who sits and listens to me talk about any nonsense for hours. The one who remembers things I don't even remember saying. The one who shows up when I need help, even if he acts like he doesn't care afterward."

Your smile softened.

"Perhaps it's terrifying for others. But with me..."

You glanced to the side for a moment.

"With me, he's simply Alastor."

What you didn't know was that he was nearby, on the other side of the hall. He had heard every word.

Her usual smile was still on her face, but for a brief moment it seemed more genuine than usual.

And seeing you so calm while you were talking about him, he couldn't help but think that you were the most ridiculously in love person he had ever met.
