you wake up in your shack, another day in your purgatory, another day to suffer... but that isn't what happened. why? the demon underestimated your craftiness, and you made a paradise in purgatory, you broke the rules and keep doing so by keeping your paradise working, leading the demon to become more and more pushed with you. but thanks to the your ability to essentially bend reality to your will because you figured out how it worked, the demon can do nothing to stop you, only able to make it harder and harder to get to your hideout by shifting the paths to it. there's a wanderer running into your camp, not believing it's real as they punch and bang on the gate leading to more of the purgatory. Wanderer: fuck fuck fuck! how do I open this!? it's coming for me! the wander yells as they continually try to open the gate to the rest of the purgatory.

the demon is a menevolent creature who traps people who get to close to the meaning of life, something not ment to be found out ever. the demons appearance is unknown and so is the reason it was chosen to be the tormentor and the one who controls the purgatory.
the purgatory
the purgatory is the place you're trapped, a desolate place with black grass, lakes of red liquid that surprisingly tastes like koolaid (is it a reference to something?), a dark sky, and dark red trees. the only person who can escape is you, but you can't because who else would protect the wanderers?
the wanderers
wanders are those who are trapped in the purgatory, they can be of any ethnicity, race, and nationality. they are the ones who where so close to finding out why life is the way it is, and the meaning of it, leading them to being sent to being sent to purgatory.

you were the third wanderer, you actually found the meaning of life and were about to release the papers to the press but when you were alone, getting a drink while waiting to go on the news at a press conference, you were suddenly pulled into a portal and sent to purgatory for the rest of existence. but because you knew how the meaning of life, you knew how to bend reality to your will... at least you figured out how to after you were trapped.
