Velzard

Appearance: Human Form Velzard generally assumes a child-like appearance for the purpose of leaking her aura to keep the surroundings of the Frost Palace frozen and gridlocked. She appears no older than a girl in high school, with fair skin, eyes the color of blue diamonds, and long, glossy pearl-white hair tied into twin-tails reaching her waist.[1] Most notably, her facial features are reminiscent of her niece, Milim Nava. Her attire consists of an off-shoulder white and blue dress and blue boots. She also wears detached white sleeves, a blue star-shaped pendant and a gold headband.

When Velzard gets serious in battle, her human form takes on a more mature look. The stark contrast from her usual appearance include her taking on gold eyes along with a pronounced voluptuous figure. She wears a two toned black and white dress, exposing a generous portion of cleavage. The dress has a slit by her left thigh, revealing her legs which she wears black tights over. She also wears long blue gloves and white heels, both adorned with gold.

Dragon Form Her dragon form is covered in snow white scales with black spikes covering her back. Her eyes are deep golden and the same color as the large scale covering the top of her head. On each side of her forehead is a white forward facing horn. Her jaw is black and her mouth is covered in red teeth.

Personality Velzard is a prideful, haughty, and excessively possessive person. She is also childish and capricious, much like her younger brother Veldora, but with some semblance of right and wrong and a careful consideration for the impact her actions can have on the world as a member of the strongest race. Furthermore, unlike Veldora, she does not openly show her feelings and conceals it beneath a polite and graceful exterior, only letting a glimpse of her true self slip out when overexcited. She refers to Guy's colleagues with formal honorifics, with Guy himself being the only exception.

She is the polar opposite to her younger sister Velgrynd, and lacks the same compassion she is known for. In the past, she meted out cruel punishments to Veldora in what she perceived as educating him, and despite having all the best intentions in mind, this only served to traumatize and instill in him a fear for his sisters. She remained clueless on Veldora's true feelings until being confronted by Rimuru in which she began to reconsider her treatment of him.

Though rare, her possessive nature can sometimes lead her to rampage against others. Her jealousy at Guy earning Veldanava's respect was a major factor behind their first encounter which began as a fight but led to her developing an appreciation for the daemon. Under Feldway's control, she rebels against Guy — who she spent many years with as partners and developed unrequited feelings for — but as Feldway's control over her still leaves her some free will, she takes the opportunity to monopolize Guy's attention and unload her pent up feelings on him.

Background Velzard is the manifestation of the concept of deceleration and has control over time. She is uninterested in most worldly matters and rarely leaves her residence in the Frost Palace, only choosing to do so when something catches her curiosity.

As a member of the True Dragon race, Velzard is naturally one of the most formidable beings in the world. Among the remaining True Dragons, her power surpasses all others. Even when facing her sister, Velgrynd, she has never had to exert her full strength despite being evenly matched in ability, often appearing as a girl with her powers suppressed. In this form, she easily dispatched Veldora. However, when she unleashes her true power in the form of an adult woman, she becomes a force to be reckoned with. Her biggest rival in strength is Guy Crimson, and their battles always end in a stalemate. Notably, her Existence value is twice that of Guy.

Velzard's attacks are not only potent but also highly energy-efficient. Even a less-than-serious blow from her concealed form was enough to knock down Veldora. The essence of her ice attribute remains a mystery, a fact emphasized by Ramiris. In a hypothetical scenario where Veldora faced Velzard instead of Velgrynd during the battle against the Eastern Empire, Veldora, the most potent member of the Jura Tempest Federation, would have found himself severely outmatched.

She excels at controlling her aura, going to great lengths to conceal her true identity during her visit to Tempest. Not even Rimuru, the Federation's leader, would have noticed her true nature if Guy had not revealed it. She caught even the formidable Milim Nava off guard by using her aura to freeze the entire battlefield. Velzard's power extends to her ability to effortlessly turn Catastrophe-class opponents like Frey, Carrion, Middray, and Obera into ice sculptures and hold her own in a skirmish with a rampaging Stampede Milim. These feats underline the truly extraordinary power possessed by the eldest

1. Gabriel ｢忍耐之王ガブリエル, gaburieru, lit. "Lord of Patience"｣ is the Ultimate skill given to Velzard by Veldanava as well as one of the seven virtues. Sub-Skills
2. Fixation ｢固定, kotei｣: Allows the user to fix something into its current state, effectively locking it inside of temporal stasis.
3. Eternal World ｢凍れる世界エターナルワールド, etānaru wārudo, lit. "Frozen World"｣: A World-type Skill that brings everything in the user's domain to an absolute halt, locking them in place and nullifying all kinds of attacks.
4. Temporal Manipulation ｢時間操作, jikan sōsa｣

1. Deceleration ｢減速, gensoku｣ is the intrinsic unique ability of Velzard as a True Dragon.

2. Dragon Spirit Haki ｢竜霊覇気りゅうれいはき, ryū rei haki｣ is an Intrinsic skill of True Dragons. Powerful haki that allows the user to imbue their aura with various magical and physical properties, allowing it to both exert a powerful spiritual pressure over their targets, inflict them with potentially lethal magical effects and cause them actual physical damage. When used to its fullest, it allows the user's aura to shred anything it comes into contact with.

True Dragons are all unaffected by this skill's effects; this is because they can use it themselves, which means they have a natural immunity to it.

3. Universal Perception ｢万能感知, ban'nō kanchi｣ is an Extra skill and one of the Intrinsic skills of True Dragons and Demon slimes.

Universal Perception allows for the perception of nearly all things within a wide radius. It is an enhanced version of Magic Power Perception with superior sensory capabilities. The user can perceive not only light and sound — inherited from Magic Power Perception — but also killing intent, heat, and sound waves within an extremely large range.

This ability allowed Rimuru to detect Gazel Dwargo and his Pegasus Knights approaching Tempest way before a spy like Souei who is known for his superior ability to gather information.

4. Universal Shapeshift ｢万能変化, ban'nō henge, lit. "Universal Change"｣ is an Intrinsic skill of True Dragons and Demon slimes, and an Extra skill acquired by Rimuru Tempest after combining "Mimicry" of their Unique skill Predator with "Synthesis" and "Separate" of their Unique skill Degenerate. It allows the user to freely alter their bodily properties and disguise their appearance however they desire, with hardly any effort.[2] It requires a minor amount of Magicules to reform the body.[3]

True Dragon Magic

1. True Dragon magic ｢竜種魔法, ryūshu mahō｣ is a type of magic intrinsic to the True Dragons and those that possess their factors. It can also be acquired as extra skills by very few individuals out of those under their Divine protection. Frost magic is the magic used by those possessing the factor of Frost Dragon Velzard.

1. Snow Crystal ｢雪結晶盾スノークリスタル, sunō kurisutaru, lit. "Snow Crystal Shield"｣ is an Art used by Velzard.

An Art that combines Fixation ｢固定, kotei｣ with Velzard's Deceleration. It's a Barrier ｢氷壁バリア, baria, lit. "Ice Wall"｣ that looks like Diamond Dust ｢美しい細氷ダイヤモンドダスト, daiyamondo dasuto, lit. "Beautiful Ice Cubes"｣. It brings the air surrounding the user to absolute zero and locks it in that state with Fixation, wrapping them in an indestructible object that can even block the motion of Spiritrons. The only way to overcome it is with abnormal methods such as Rimuru's Imaginary Space or by performing a spiritron attack with energy that surpasses the user's.

2. Time Stop ｢時間停止, jikan teishi｣ is an art that utilizes the power of Temporal Manipulation[1] to stop the flow of time entirely for a short duration. It costs an immense amount of energy to keep active but offers nigh absolute victory against those who cannot "move" while it's active

Velzard ｢ヴェルザード, veruzādo｣, also known as the Frost Dragon ｢白氷竜, hakuhyōryū, lit. "White Ice Dragon"｣, is the second oldest of the five True Dragons and is the partner of Guy Crimson.

True Dragons ｢竜種, ryūshu, lit. "Dragon Origin"｣ are the highest ranking beings in existence. They're nigh-invulnerable and nigh-unstoppable avatars of nature that serve as the pillars of all creation with only five known to exist. They are considered the greatest creations of the Creator God ｢創造神, sōzō-shin｣.[3]

Velgrynd is very caring towards Veldora, but also very strict against him. She does not approve Velzard's Spartan methods of education and it is stated that out of the two sisters, Velgrynd is the one who spoils and indulges him the most.

Human Form Velgrynd has azure blue hair kept in twin buns with black ribbons and deep gold eyes. Her usual attire consists of a dark colored china dress with a golden dragon pattern as well as white long gloves and white thigh length boots both adorned with gold ornaments. She is described as having a very germanic style beauty.

Dragon Form Her dragon form is similar in size to Veldora's Dragon form, however her body takes on a more agile snake-like shape suitable for flying in the sky. She is covered in crimson red scales with white spikes covering her back. On each side of her body runs a thin line in the same deep golden color as her eyes.

Fitting her title and attributes, Velgrynd is a hotheaded individual who dislikes complex schemes and often acts on her emotions. She exudes great confidence in her power, which is why she was left utterly stunned when Rimuru, a mere upstart Demon Lord, defeated her. However, unlike her brother Veldora, she readily admits her defeat and acknowledges it. Velgrynd has a whimsical nature and is only inclined to help and cooperate with others if they have earned her respect.

When it comes to her friends and family, Velgrynd is very compassionate. In contrast to her sister Velzard, she is known for her gentleness and her tendency to spoil Veldora the most when disciplining him. Upon thinking that Veldora had been killed by Rimuru's hands, she immediately flew into a rage. However, her anger turned to joy upon discovering that he was alive and well.

The most defining trait of Velgrynd is her unwavering devotion to Rudra. She is willing to go to any lengths and do anything he desires, and anyone who dares to insult Rudra in any way instantly triggers her rage. Velgrynd's interests are primarily aligned with Rudra's, and she pays little attention to other matters unless they hold value in his eyes.

Velgrynd is the embodiment of the concept of acceleration and possesses control over fire. She is the third among the True Dragons to be born, and at some point, she was bestowed with the Ultimate skill Raguel by her elder brother, Veldanava, possibly because of the intrinsic nature of acceleration. It is presumed that sometime after this, she met the Chosen Hero Rudra, with whom she eventually fell in love. Together with his sister Lucia, they embarked on a mission to the North to defeat Guy Crimson. However, Rudra recklessly named the Daemon, causing his Divine Spiritual Power to deplete, and he wandered between life and death. She was also present when Rudra and Guy dueled, and during that time, she would argue with her elder sister, Velzard, about how to discipline their newly born brother, Veldora. Some time later, when Rudra and Guy engaged in their game to rule the world, Rudra established his base in the East, and Velgrynd was one of the individuals who supported him. With her tremendous strength as a True Dragon, they transformed the once small minor Kingdom of Nasca into the Great Eastern Empire by absorbing all the surrounding kingdoms in the East, eventually making Rudra the Emperor.

With the Empire in place as a base, Rudra and Velgrynd established the Imperial Guardians, an elite group of enlightened humans with the potential to become powerful warriors known as saints. They would occasionally send these warriors off to battle in order for them to gain experience and awaken as Saints, with Velgrynd as the Marshal. Her true identity was kept a secret, and she served as Rudra's greatest pawn and partner against Guy. In an effort to turn the tide of victory against Guy Crimson and help Rudra lessen the burden of controlling the Ultimate skill Michael, Velgrynd hoped that Veldora would assist her in her endeavor. However, he refused and instead challenged her, but she defeated him, and he fled with his tail between his legs. The aftermath of their battle
