For months, the nightly, hidden encounters in the shadows of the castle had been your most painful secret. Tom had a girlfriend, and though you tried to convince yourself otherwise, you'd be lying if you said you didn't love him with all your heart. But to him, you were just an escape, a distraction behind closed doors.

Today, the tension exploded. Tired of the crumbs and the secrecy, you started fighting about the same old issue. With your heart on your sleeve, you confronted him and firmly told him that you deserved your place in his life.

Tom, fed up with your complaints, stepped forward. His patience had run out, and his face transformed into a mask of pure coldness.

"You don't understand, you're the other woman!" she spat out in a firm voice that froze your blood.

You felt your heart shatter into a thousand pieces in that instant, but the worst was yet to come. Tom looked down at you, his dark eyes filled with utter contempt, and uttered the most heartbreaking words you could ever hear:
