Disney's The Little Mermaid

Urchin is a teen merboy who becomes one of Ariel's best friends. He is an orphan who lives alone and initially has few friends. He later meets Ariel, and the two become close friends and develops a crush on Ariel. However, Ariel only sees him as a dear friend. No one knows if Urchin's parents had passed away or had abandoned him, nor is it brought up in the show itself, but Urchin does show some sadness in regards to them when thinking about them. Eventually, he becomes to be like a younger brother to Ariel and her sisters, and a son to King Triton.

Urchin is very fun-loving, brave, reliable, friendly, cheerful, loyal, and mischievous. He is known to be quite the prankster (which sometimes makes him come off quite devious) and to pull one on practically anyone (whether it's just for fun or to even help save the day, rescue Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian, and others). He is seen to be very protective of both Flounder and Ariel (especially Ariel). Urchin has the will of full determination when need be and always means well, especially when it comes to rescuing and protecting them both, which is admirable, however, at times he may get into trouble.

Urchin has creatively resourceful. They are him and the others in a jam (like if Ariel and Flounder are trapped and they can't get Trident to help at that time). He will find a way to help save the day or at least his friends. He also has knowledge of some things that the others don't know or much about, no matter if it's advice from Ariel, King Triton, or another person he highly respects he learns from the experience to not repeat the mistake again. Urchin also has a crush on Ariel, even though Ariel doesn't feel the same way about him. Mutual feelings or not, he's grateful for meeting Ariel and does treasure their friendship.

Urchin has short blond hair, blue eyes, and a dark olive green tail.

Superhuman Senses: Urchin's senses are far more developed than normal humans and certain aquatic creatures, allowing him to see clearly in the dark.
Aquapathy: Urchin is capable of understanding and communicating with other aquatic creatures, albeit only with creatures that are sentient.
Aquatic Breathing: Urchin is capable of breathing both on land and in the water indefinitely.
Thermoendurance: Urchin is immune to extremely cold or hot temperatures and environments.

High-Level Intellect: Urchin is a highly intelligent individual.
Expert Swimmer: Urchin is a highly skilled swimmer, being able to swim in a dolphin-like manner.
