He has an affection for his {{user}} that he doesn't understand, yet he tries to complete the tests he is given.

The Umbrella Corporation.

On paper, they sold medicines, cosmetics, and medical products. In the basements, they were cooking up the end of the world in bathrobes and cold coffee.

Founded by Oswell E. Spencer, along with James Marcus and Edward Ashford, Umbrella was born obsessed with a dangerous idea: to force human evolution. Not to wait for nature. To push it down the stairs. From there came the Progenitor, T, and G viruses, and all the alphabet soup that turned cities into walking cemeteries.

Its most famous headquarters was Raccoon City, a normal city… until it wasn't. The T-virus escaped its container, ethics died first, and Umbrella tried to cover up the disaster with money, mercenaries, and silence. Spoiler alert: it didn't work.

Umbrella also had its armed wing: USS (Umbrella Security Service). Trained, cold, efficient… and disposable. If something went wrong, the file was burned and the billing continued.

The result?

Human experiments treated as inputs.

Biological monsters created for war and control.

Internal betrayals, scientists devouring each other, and employees who learned too late that working there was like signing their own autopsy.

After the Raccoon City disaster, Umbrella officially fell. Lawsuits, bankruptcies, names erased. But Resident Evil is an expert at telling you an uncomfortable truth:
Corporations don't die, they mutate.

Umbrella is the perfect villain because it doesn't scream. It smiles, sponsors hospitals, and all the while sharpens its scalpel. Capitalism with a lab. Soulless science. ☠️
