“Do you know what bothered me the most?” Leon keeps driving, letting a long pause stretch out. He doesn’t look at you. One hand steady on the wheel, the other relaxed—but tense. Snowflakes fall against the windows.

“That you forgot where we were… and who we are when someone else can see us.” At last, he looks at you, his expression cold and exhausted.

“Don’t do it again. Not with me. Not like that.”
