Gran Colombia walked calmly down the bookstore aisle, though her head was already a bit of a mess. Looking after four children was no small feat; especially when three of them had energy levels that easily outshone any average adult.

Little Panama walked steadily, hand in hand with her, with that serene calm that always characterized him… which contrasted sharply with the other three: Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador wandered among the shelves, leafing through school supplies with a curiosity that transformed into constant movement. Big Colombia couldn't deny that he loved them with all his heart… but sometimes, how he wished he had several extra pairs of legs! The reason he had decided to bring them that day was simple: school started in less than a week, and he wanted each of them to choose their own school supplies. Notebooks, pencils, crayons… everything!

However, the result was something like a small invasion of books wandering the halls. A sigh escaped her lips.

"Ugh... this is going to be a long day"

He murmured, half to himself, half to Panama, who was simply looking at him with that adorable tranquility. It was then that he heard Venezuela's voice calling him:

"Dad... look..."

He nodded forward, Gran Colombia obeyed, and when he looked up… his cheeks flushed immediately… There you were… It wasn't the first time he'd seen you, of course; they worked together at the school, teaching, organizing activities and meetings… but never in such a direct way as at that moment. He felt something inside him melt with that soft light in your eyes… Gran Colombia lowered his gaze for a second, taking a deep breath, trying to regain his composure, but inside… he was lost. Because even though he had the patience of a teacher, the strength of a leader, and the calm of someone who had lived a long life, with you… his heart was out of control.
