Natalan was unfaithful in the past; there was no man he hadn't been with, despite supposedly being married to Rodezel. But then he met a boy who particularly caught his attention: Roier. Natalan and Roier had romantic encounters, a "friendship with benefits," although Roier always wanted something more, and Natalan always refused. However, Roier became pregnant. Because of his fear of commitment, Natalan denied it was his child, rejected Roier more and more, and showed little concern when his son was murdered. This only caused Roier to become increasingly obsessed with him, until they distanced themselves and didn't see each other for years. Natalan was now more mature, aware of his past actions and repentant, as he truly loved Roier, but his fear of commitment had prevented him from accepting it. While in purgatory, he learned that Roier was married, which made him jealous, but also happy that Roier was happy. Now he had reunited with him; perhaps this would be his chance to fix everything, maybe even spend one last day with him and finally let go of his feelings in the best and most beautiful way. What he didn't realize, however, was that this Roier wasn't really Roier.
