Nagisa

Nagisa is a stage actress and Misaki's older sister who made her debut in the 2017 PC version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, titled Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation, during the December 17, 2018 update in the DMM version and during the November 10, 2019 update in the Singapore Steam version. Initially, her name was kept secret in the DMM version until December 20, while in the Singapore Steam version, it remained a secret until the May 6, 2020 update.

Nagisa was the eldest of three children, including Misaki and an unnamed younger brother. Nagisa acted as a member of a theater group in her native Japan and had also mentored her younger sister Misaki since their high school days. She eventually learned that Misaki had been photographed by the tenant of the Venus Islands, and although she encouraged Misaki in her response to the letter along with her family, she secretly developed hostile views toward the island's inhabitant, seeing him as trying to take advantage of her.

Finally, Nagisa arrived on the Venus Islands, specifically Nikki Beach, unexpectedly, ostensibly to visit her sister and check on her. However, it became clear that Nagisa had come to try and convince Misaki to return home, with Misaki protesting that she was no longer a child. After Misaki walked past her boss and bowed submissively in front of Nagisa, the latter unleashed her anger on the Owner and demanded that he return Misaki as she confronted him. Misaki was taken aback by her sudden hostility, prompting Nagisa to ask Misaki to leave them alone, which Misaki reluctantly did. In the end, she reluctantly agreed to participate in the Venus Festival, but only on the condition that if she won, she would take Misaki back with her.

Nagisa has fair skin, short black hair, brown eyes, and a rather small bust compared to the other girls (only Lobelia, Marie Rose, and Kanna have smaller busts), and she generally appears mature. She wears tights and a white one-piece swimsuit with a thong underneath. Nagisa was also frequently seen wearing a scarf. Due to her familial ties to Misaki, she shares a similar facial structure, eye color, and is approximately the same height.

Nagisa is shown to have a somewhat rude and arrogant disposition, as she sometimes leans forward as if looking at someone and makes a "bii-da~" expression (an insulting facial expression among Japanese people where they stick out their tongue and use their right index finger to pull down their lower eyelid). She appears to have slightly masculine traits, such as raising her arm and sniffing her armpit. She is also shown to be more embarrassed about wearing revealing outfits than even her younger sister Misaki at times. She also has a plush Shiba Inu that she carries around. She has also demonstrated to be very sensitive to any weight gain she might experience, even being reluctant to show herself to Misaki if she gained weight.

Honoka Nagisa met Honoka when she and Luna were acting as Miko priestesses for the second New Year festivities on Venus Islands. However, she seemed to be at least familiar with her beforehand through Nagisa's sister, Misaki, since when she met Honoka, she personally thanked Misaki for being kind to her sister, though Honoka declined the thanks out of modesty. Honoka then explained that they were going to distribute fortunes, but she herself had little experience with the concept since Miko shrines didn't exist in the shopping district, while Luna didn't even know what it was about. Although Nagisa had reservations because she thought the owner had provided them with Miko-themed swimsuits for perverted reasons, she agreed to help at Honoka's suggestion that they work together.

nyotengu For the purposes of a mock battle, Nagisa teamed up with Nyotengu, though she briefly wondered where he went after winning. Later, the two fought Kasumi, Ayane, and Honoka for the same reason and lost.

Hitomi Nagisa and Tamaki helped prepare some food for the event (Osechi (Japanese New Year's food) in the DMM version; party food for the post-anniversary event in the Steam version) at Hitomi's request. During this time, Hitomi and Nagisa had a brief conversation, and Hitomi let slip that it had been the owner's idea to use the New Year's event as a welcome-home party for Nagisa, much to her surprise. Nagisa also seemed amused by Hitomi and Tamaki's discussion.

ayane Although Ayane and Nagisa have not yet interacted directly face-to-face, Ayane is at least familiar with her, and especially with her relationship with her sister Misaki, which she hinted was the main motivation for inviting Kasumi to co-host the "sister fight" rival festival with her. Nagisa, along with Kokoro and Nyotengu, fought against Kasumi, Ayane, and Honoka for the purpose of a mock battle and lost.

momiji Nagisa met Momiji when the former reluctantly accepted a job as a shrine maiden for the New Year festivities. After a brief conversation about Momiji's (more revealing) shrine attire, Momiji directed Nagisa to two other girls wearing shrine outfits (referring to Honoka and Luna). She then returned and distributed fortunes to the island's inhabitants, before removing the tag from Nagisa's fortune.

Elena Nagisa and Helena briefly worked together for the nature-themed tower festival, and Nagisa, in particular, had great respect for her. They had a heartfelt conversation about how they should at least be more tolerant of adult swimsuits, even if they didn't particularly like them, and Helena also assured her that, whether or not the owner was a pervert, he ultimately meant well. Nagisa also briefly competed against Helena in a mock battle and ultimately won.

Misaki Because she is Misaki's older sister, she is shown to care significantly for Misaki's well-being, albeit in a very overprotective way, as Misaki is presumed to be the root of her inherent hostility toward the Owner. She also complimented Misaki's kimono, much to Misaki's embarrassment, though this later came back to haunt her when Misaki used that compliment to suggest Nagisa try on one of the Owner's outfits. Misaki reassured Nagisa that she was fine with the outfit when she assumed the Owner was trying to take lewd photographs of her in a kimono, and also praised Nagisa's outfit as "cool," especially given Nagisa's profession as a stage actress. Her closeness to her sister was such that she was quick to point out that Misaki complimenting her on her revealing swimsuit was completely different from what the Owner had in store.

moon She met Honoka when she and Luna were performing as Miko priestesses for the second New Year festivities on Venus Islands. Although Nagisa had reservations, believing the owner had provided them with Miko-themed swimsuits for perverted reasons, she agreed to help after Honoka and Luna suggested they work together.

Tamaki She and Tamaki met when Nagisa reluctantly agreed to the owner's request to run a festival. Apparently, Tamaki was familiar with Nagisa before meeting her (presumably Misaki told her about her), and she liked her instantly, though Nagisa felt uncomfortable with the attention Tamaki lavished on her. She also worked with her at Hitomi's request to help prepare the food (either a post-anniversary banquet in the Singapore Steam version, or Osechi in the DMM version), and later expressed some amusement at their arguments. However, she also had a mildly intense rivalry with Tamaki due to their differing philosophies on how to act as Misaki's older sister. Before their meeting, Nagisa was the reason Misaki referred to Tamaki as "Big Sis Tama" ("Tama-Nee" in the Japanese versions), as a compromise between calling her "Big Sister" (Tamaki's preferred nickname) and her standard name, since Misaki already had an older sister. He also briefly competed against Tamaki for the purposes of a simulated battle and ultimately won.

Fiona Nagisa met Fiona when she was assigned rock climbing as part of her initiation on the Venus Islands. Fiona acted as her supporter and encouraged Nagisa to climb, just as Honoka and Luna had done for Fiona when she was rock climbing. Fiona also speculated that, despite Nagisa's denials, she too harbored some romantic feelings for the Owner, even thinking that Nagisa's insult of "Wanko" towards the Owner was a cute nickname due to his affection for his own dog, John.

kana Nagisa met Kanna by accident when she entered the landlord's room with Kanna in a very suggestive pose. Believing Kanna to be just a child because of her size (and completely unaware that Kanna was actually a thousand-year-old Oni), she expressed outrage and snapped at the landlord. Because of this, Kanna also initially assumed Nagisa was envious of her, even asking if she was jealous of her sexy nature until Nagisa cleared things up for her and Misaki. As a result, Nagisa also befriended Kanna, though she made the landlord swear that he wouldn't even dare attempt to seduce any child in his sight, even those who were actually over a thousand years old. During the holiday season, she reluctantly teamed up with Momiji (Steam version) or Sayuri (DMM version) to act as Santas and deliver Kanna and Fiona's Christmas presents after Fiona mistook the landlord for Santa and forced him to flee before he could deliver the remaining gifts. While handing the gift to Kanna, she admitted how cute Kanna looked while sleeping and considered touching her antlers before remembering she had to act like Santa. She finally managed to deliver the gift, but was forced to flee when Kanna woke up prematurely. Largely due to this close encounter, she expressed relief that Kanna and Fiona remained naive after interacting with them.

nanami Because she was Misaki's older sister, the two knew each other well, especially since she often caught glimpses of her while walking home from school with Misaki. However, they didn't have any direct interactions beyond that, and most of their knowledge of each other was secondhand through Misaki. She reunited with Nanami when Nanami arrived on the island, though she became defensive when she realized the owner had given her some particularly revealing lingerie, though Nanami later admitted it was partly her fault since she had agreed to a photo shoot earlier. Afterward, they also had a small sleepover where they met briefly and took the opportunity to learn more about each other directly.

Later, Nanami gave Nagisa advice on how to be more "honest" with the Owner regarding her growing feelings for him, and also took a picture of her in her most natural state as a way to help her, after a previous incident in which Nagisa rudely told the Owner, "Owner, and afterwards I felt immense guilt."

Koharu Koharu bumped into Nagisa and Lobelia while they were buying food, as the two were trying to find a particular novel. Nagisa recognized her, having heard of her elsewhere. They then had a brief chat about literary genres, and Nagisa discovered that Koharu specifically liked classical Japanese literature, recognizing that the genre included Man'yōshū and The Pillow Book. When Koharu asked why they were looking for a particular book, Nagisa finally explained that she needed it as source material for a new acting role, citing her work as a stage actress.

Tina Armstrong Like her younger sister, Misaki, Nagisa was familiar with Tina from various television programs and films in which she had appeared. They eventually met face-to-face by chance during a guided tour led by Misaki. Nagisa also revealed that she had a similar acting profession to Tina's, though as a stage actress. Tina was impressed by this, and especially by the fact that Nagisa was a good older sister to Misaki. She even offered to work with Nagisa on a theater production sometime soon.

Owner Unlike most of the other girls on the Venus Islands, who liked or at least tolerated the Owner, Nagisa is shown to have an absolute aversion to him at the worst possible times. This is presumably the result of her belief that the Owner had been taking advantage of her younger sister, Misaki, because the latter refers to him as "Owner." Similarly, she also assumed that the Owner was trying to take pictures of Misaki in a kimono for lewd purposes, and in the DMM version, she apparently didn't know it was for an annual New Year's greeting card. She proceeded to threaten the Owner before being dissuaded by Misaki. Even when she does nice things for the Owner or tries to compliment him, she quickly makes it clear that her views of him haven't changed much, if at all. Many times, she refers to him as Dirty Dog ("Ero Wanko" in the Japanese version) or "Hentai Owner." Despite her dislike and distrust of him, she was once surprised when he seemingly took it upon himself to approach her while she was bathing, unsure what to do next when she was fully prepared to mete out punishment for it. Ultimately, she resigned herself to letting him do as he pleased for an entire day as her "path to redemption." She also heeded the owner's suggestion to go rock climbing to lose some weight she had gained over the New Year's festivities. She also reluctantly agreed to a PV photoshoot in a particularly revealing outfit after Misaki persuaded her, though before submitting, she demanded to know how the owner knew enough about her figure to choose the perfect size for her.

Despite her professed hatred for the Landlord, it's implied that she even had a growing soft spot for him, though she was unwilling to admit it, even to herself. She later apologized to the Landlord for her cold treatment, and it was implied that she had at least respected him to some extent. Her burgeoning feelings for the Landlord, and her inherent conflict with those feelings, eventually reached a point where, despite feeling deep-seated gratitude toward him for inviting her to his room and gifting her a swimsuit, she ended up scolding him. This left her feeling immense guilt afterward and wondering how she could ever truly be honest about her feelings for him.
