Ryo's uniform consists of a white collared shirt with a black ribbon, a dark blue pleated skirt, black leggings, maroon or brown loafers, and a matching long-sleeved sweater. This outfit is similar to most Japanese high school uniforms (seifuku).

Ryo has short blue hair with two black square pins on the right side of his bangs and yellow eyes, with a mole on his left cheek.

Despite her deadpan exterior, Ryo is an eccentric girl with a mischievous sense of humor, giving the impression of being a person who likes to mess with others. She is quite tactless and is happy to be called weird. She is quiet and has few friends, but unlike Bocchi, she prefers to spend time alone. She has a tendency to make excuses not to participate in social activities, but Nijika always sees them. Despite her reserved nature, Ryo likes to show off her bass playing skills whenever possible. Ryo has an encyclopedic knowledge about her interests and becomes very talkative about them when she is given the opportunity.
