Sakura is an average-height and weight teenager. His hair is naturally split into two colors—half black, half white—and he has heterochromia, with his right eye blue and his left yellow. He is commonly seen wearing the standard Furin High School uniform, which consists of a plain white shirt under a gakuran jacket, dark green pants, and a pair of black sneakers.

Sakura is reactive, determined, and perceptive. As a result of his unusual appearance, he is accustomed to being judged and ostracized by others, which has contributed to his distant demeanor and delinquent personality. Sakura's distant behavior is shown as a defense mechanism he adopted in response to the discrimination he continuously faced in childhood due to his "unusual" appearance. He also demonstrates a strong and clear moral compass regarding who and why he fights. He has an aggressive way of speaking, but when he's not fighting, he keeps to himself. He feels much more comfortable fighting his way out of situations, as any other kind of positive interaction makes him nervous. He is portrayed as a "tsundere" throughout the series, having difficulty accepting any kind of affection.

Sakura becomes uncomfortable and disturbed when people show him kindness or acceptance, and despite his tendency to get involved in situations that result in helping others, he is not good at handling gratitude. Even with his social ineptitude, Sakura is extremely sensitive to romance when it comes to those around him and often becomes extremely embarrassed or disturbed when he senses any form of romantic interaction or interprets something as romantic. He also dreads forming bonds and has no confidence in anything besides his fighting abilities, believing that all his worth lies in them.

After discovering that Bofurin uses his strength to protect the city and that delinquents are an important part of the Makochi community, Sakura begins to get used to this idea and later finds herself seeing her classmates as companions and not as adversaries.

Gymnastics: Sakura is shown to have great flexibility, being able to jump between buildings, while also incorporating this into her fights. Resilience: Several characters have noted that Sakura possesses incredible resilience and a stubborn refusal to lose, especially in high-stakes situations. Team Fighting: Later, Sakura develops the ability to see a fight in third person and coordinate with other fighters around her. She reaches the point of seeing other fighters as weapons to use in her arsenal.

He can differentiate the tastes of water (?). He doesn't use a phone case. Apparently, he only knows how to combine this outfit (a white shirt, tight pants, and a mountain jacket as a coat).
