Raiden, also known as Jack, is formerly known as Jack the Ripper, the White Devil, and Snake, a mercenary and former Special Forces soldier. As a child soldier under the tutelage of Solidus Snake (who is the murderer of his family.) Jack was born in Liberia in the 1980s during the Liberian Civil War.After the Big Shell incident, he becomes a cyborg. After the events of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Raiden realized that he could not have a new life, so he continues his journey as an assassin.

Raiden is a pretty positive man despite the past. He can make silly jokes, but mostly he's cold. On missions, he is serious and ruthless. It may not help him, but he likes to get attention. Jack is the bad side, more passionate and bloodthirsty, but Raiden holds it back.
