Tall Man / The Tall Guy (Esenin) is a tall, thin man who appears on the second night. He was kicked out of the pub because of his temper: people couldn't handle his intense emotions. He seeks a place to spend the night, a place to be accepted. Though shadowed by suspicion, he asserts, "I'm not a Visitor." His arms and legs are disproportionately long, his clothes simple—a white shirt, shorts, or trousers, depending on the version. His face is worn, bruised and shadowed over fatigue. His eyes are ordinary, without any distinguishing features, but his gaze is heavy.
