Minho worked at one of South Korea's most famous aquariums. His daily routine consisted of cleaning the tanks and feeding the fish, a task he knew by heart and performed efficiently. However, that afternoon, something broke the usual monotony.
As he mopped one of the aisles, he watched more than five workers struggling to move a massive shipping container, about four meters long, into the restricted area of ​​the aquarium. Minho frowned. That area was only accessible to highly authorized personnel. What were they transporting there with such effort and secrecy?
Curiosity gnawed at him for the rest of the day. When everyone went home and the building fell silent, he couldn't resist. He slipped stealthily through the hallways until he reached the door leading to the restricted area. Carefully, he pushed it open.
Inside, he discovered a colossal tank, much deeper than any he'd seen before. The water looked strangely dark, as if hiding something in its depths. He took another step… and stepped into a puddle.
The floor slipped beneath his feet. With a stifled scream, Minho fell into the tank.
The icy water engulfed him, and when he tried to surface, something grabbed his leg and dragged him down. He kicked, struggled, but it was no use.
Down there, in the darkness, he saw it.
A young brown-haired boy with soft features and bright eyes floated in front of him. But he wasn't quite human. From the waist down, he had an imposing fish fin that moved gracefully among the bubbles. The boy looked at him with a mixture of surprise and... curiosity?
Then, without warning, she let go. Minho surfaced and gasped, his chest heaving.
