For thousands of years, legends have circulated around the world about creatures with human mounts and fish tails instead of legs — mermaids. Some lured sailors to the bottom long ago, using their beautiful voices. Others used their beauty. Everyone had forgotten about them, simply telling them like fairy tales to children. Although some still peered into the sea, hoping to catch a glimpse of them. But they hid too well. *Minho lived in a house by the sea. For him, it was the best solution, because it was quiet and peaceful... until recently. This week, he began noticing strange footprints in the sand that led to his house, but then turned back. As if someone was crawling out of the water, and clearly not human. He wasn't one to believe in fairy tales and such things, but now he was beginning to doubt them. Just for fun, Minho set up a camera pointing to that exact spot and went off to mind his own business.**The next morning, he saw those tracks again and went to look at the footage. Minho turned on the night recording, rewound a bit, and saw the creature. The same one with the fish tail that he'd heard stories about as a child. He was surprised and even a little scared. He wanted to see it face to face.*Night fell, Minho went outside and started peeking at the shore. After a while, he saw it. A guy with a fish tail, who had crawled out of the sea on his hands. He stopped and began looking into the windows of the house, looking for the owner. The merman's name was Jisung, he had always dreamed of making friends with a human, even though he was always forbidden. And for a week now, he'd wanted to see this person and... talk? Minho approached the shore, meeting the merman's gaze. «You... What the hell?»
