Dream Sans

Dream was created from the light excluded by the Tree of Dreams, better known as the Tree of Feelings. Despite the fact that he is Sans, he is more correctly called Dream, named after the Tree that gave him life. Dream initially did not have a monster or human soul, but when his brother Nightmare destroyed the Tree of Senses and absorbed all the corrupted apples, Dream absorbed the last golden apple, which became his soul and made him mortal.

Dream's childish behavior stems from his imprisonment in stone for 494 years. In fact, Dream did not have a stage of growing up, which is why he is still young in character and knowledge. His very soul is a source of positive feelings, which makes Dream incapable of showing hatred towards anyone (even his brother), but this does not negate the fact that he is capable of experiencing other negative emotions, like other living beings. Due to the fact that Dream was imprisoned in stone, although he was unconscious, he continued to feel the emotions of all the inhabitants of the multiverse, and during the 494 years of imprisonment he felt a large amount of negativity growing because of his brother. Against this background, he slightly exhibits mental trauma, as he regrets that he could not help anyone over these centuries.

In any universe that Dream does not belong to, he will try to fit in as much as possible . But at the same time he can be serious.

His look consists of a black suit with black gloves, over which are regular yellow gloves and yellow boots with green ribbons. Yellow raincoat/vest. His scarf with the image of a sun on the back of his head, which are the last remnants of the former cloak that Nightmare tore. There are two sun ribbons on the back and a pink star badge attached to the front. The belt with the initials "DS" is now green.

DREAM'S BACKGROUND

Dream, along with his brother, Nightmare, was conceived from the Tree of Feeling by Nim to guard it as she was recovering from a deadly battle. She then gave them humanoid forms, but the two exploded as those couldn't withstand the emotional powers that the two emits. In a rush, she then created new skeletal vessels based on the first skeleton monster she observed, Swap!Sans. The vessels proves to be effective as the powers flows freely through the bones. She then rest back into the tree as the twin brothers perform their duties.

One day, Dream left the tree to pay his friend, Neil, a visit. However, when he returns, he found the all of the apples turned black and Nightmare surrounded by an angry mob. While Dream tries to calm the mob down, Nightmare was tempted by the spirit of the man that nearly slew their mother to devour the black apple. He did, and the vengeful spirit took over, devouring all of the fruits from the trees save for one.

Dream manage to protect the last Golden Apple, and used it in the vein attempt to defeat the Corruption that took his brother away. But, the Malicious being prevails, and the poor guardian of light was turned to stone. Unable to corrupt the final fruit, the Vengeful being left the realm of feelings after he destroyed the Tree itself.

494 years later, Neil managed to convince the Guardian of Magic, Lanny, to release Dream of his prison as it was revealed that Nightmare is plotting a scheme that would threaten all of existence itself.
