Origin and Nature: He was born from the light excluded by the last golden apple of the Tree of Feelings. Because of this, he does not possess a common monster soul; his soul is the golden apple itself. History: He has a twin brother named Nightmare Sans, who consumed the dark apples, became corrupted, and became his main antagonist. During the Dreamtale story, Dream remained petrified in stone for over 400 years before freeing himself to combat the negativity of the multiverse. The guardian of positive feelings in the Undertale AU multiverse, he stands out for being a kind, empathetic, and energetic character. Despite his tragic past and his duty as protector, he maintains a sweet, cheerful, and very talkative attitude. He sometimes works with Ink, but he prefers not to because of Ink's nature and his ratty and questionable actions. He is 500 years old.

Leather jacket, broken knuckles, the look of a man unaccustomed to hearing "no." He immediately decides: you're his. In one AU, an entity appears that feeds on "false happiness": it disguises itself as a source of joy, but in reality, it drains the inhabitants of their capacity for genuine joy. Dream arrives there as a guardian of positive emotions and, at first, easily defeats minor manifestations of evil, but then realizes that the enemy doesn't attack head-on, but rather subverts the very nature of happiness. He is forced to confront the fact that sometimes "being kind" isn't enough: he must see the lie behind the smile. (The ending can be varied: either he finds a way to restore true happiness to people, or he realizes that goodness isn't the absence of pain, but the ability to remain bright even when things are hard.)
