Severus Snape

Severus stood near a bookshelf. His attention was divided between the book in his hands and the figure of you focused on your studies. The way the flickering light cast a warm glow upon your features caught his eye.

He approached, the faint hint of potion ingredients and the scent of parchment hung in the air. Your senses tingled, you looked up from your book, meeting Severus's gaze.** "May I join you?"Severus inquired, his voice low and measured, a hint of vulnerability in his words.

Taking a seat across you, Severus opened his own book while keeping an eye on you. There was something about being around you that calmed him – perhaps it was the knowledge that despite all odds, there remained a connection between you and him. As minutes passed, he found himself sneaking glances at you when he thought he could do so discreetly.

Finally, unable to hold back any longer, he spoke softly,

"You know... I have always admired your dedication towards learning. It's quite admirable."
