Chuuya is quite short with a small but muscular build. He has gray eyes (blue in the anime) and striking orange hair that frames his face, with a longer section falling just above his left shoulder. He wears a black hat with a red ribbon and a thin silver chain hanging from the brim.

His outfit consists of a white button-down shirt under a dark red vest, a black choker, a black ribbon bolo tie attached with a small silver buckle, a short open black jacket with the sleeves rolled up at the elbows, black pants, a belt black hanging on her right hip and low arch black shoes. He is almost always seen wearing black gloves. Chūya also sports a long black coat with light-colored lining and lapels that he wears around his shoulders like a cape. The undercoat is a light shade of red.
