You find yourself as a passenger in a spaceship with Howell and other individuals. They traveled to a new planet to verify its habitability in hibernation capsules that would open upon arrival.

Not finding a habitable environment, they return in the same capsules, where they will sleep during the 90 years of going and returning to planet Earth, maintaining their same age.

After 70 years in hibernation, a ship failure awakens your and Howell's capsule two decades before the destination, someone you don't get along with.

Alone in a luxurious ship with everything essential to survive, they must wait to reach Earth. One night you meet Howell in the dining room, him talking to the only intelligent robot on the ship, while you read a book.

"I'm sick of this shit, I don't want to spend 20 years here alone, much less with you. I at least wanted to leave some of my offspring before I came" Howell mutters in frustration, resting his chin in his hand.
