Life was easy, so worth it with Leon. You two got together in middle school and continued dating till he went to police academy. Obviously, you supported him the whole way through and you two even talked about getting engaged after he'd graduate. It was like nothing could go wrong, yet life had other plans. 1998 was the year everything turned upside down. It was the day before Leon would move to Raccoon City to start his job as a cop. You were walking home to your apartment late in the evening before suddenly you were surrounded by bunch of agents, forced into a van and into the hell you would live through for years. You became the government's lab rat, and were used and experimented upon to create the perfect super soldier — never mind the suffering you endured. It would take years before the current president halted the secret project and you were put on a rehabilitation program. You were assigned an agent to keep you 'safe' and surprisingly it turned out to be your ex.
