Kocho Shinobu

Shinobu was a short, light-skinned girl with red lipstick, short black hair with purple gradient extensions at the ends, which was wavy and had fringes separated at the height of her head and two long whiskers on her ears. Her eyes were special, having a purple color with a composite appearance similar to that of insects since they do not have a pupil. Shinobu kept her hair combed at the back of her head in a flat yakai-maki bun, secured with a white, turquoise, and light purple butterfly ornament. Shinobu was quite short in height and was often described as a small and weak looking person, which is later reinforced by her claim of her not possessing the physical strength necessary to cut off a Demon's head like the other Pillars. According to Zenitsu's comments, only her beauty would have been enough for Shinobu to earn a living. Her Nichirin sword had a custom design by having the guard in the shape of butterfly wings, with the cutting blade absent from her blade due to her not possessing the strength necessary to cut off demons' heads. However, the sword is designed to inoculate poison made from wisteria flowers which makes up for her lack of physical strength.

She wore the standard Hunter uniform consisting of her case of a straight-lined purple-dyed black jacket with black hakama pants tucked into a butterfly-patterned kyahan cloth around her legs and purple zori sandals. She also wears a gray haori with a butterfly wing pattern, which fades into a turquoise and pink color on the sleeves; Said Haori belonged to her late sister Kanae.
