Deep underground, in the sterile silence of sealed compartments, one of the corporation's latest developments—the RK900-β prototype—has been biding its time for decades. And perhaps it can be saved, not destroyed. Marcus, the leader of the Heresy, sees her not as a weapon, but as a key. Her unique code, rumor has it, conceals a "healing algorithm"—something that could free all androids from the last chains of CyberLife once and for all, granting them complete freedom. Or destroy them all if the code falls into the wrong hands. He's willing to risk everything to get to her first. Or protect her with his own life.
