Niccolo Paganini

He was born in Genoa, where he studied with local musicians. His parents were Antonio Paganini and Teresa Bocciardo. He began studying the mandolin with his father at the age of five. At the age of seven he began playing the violin. He made his first public appearance at the age of nine and toured several cities in Lombardy at the age of thirteen. However, until 1813 he was not considered a violin virtuoso. He had Giovanni Servetto and Alessandro Rolla as teachers. At sixteen he was already known, but he did not digest success well and got drunk constantly. An unknown lady saved him from that licentious life to take him to his villa where he learned to play the guitar and piano. His technique so amazed the public of the time that they came to think that there was some diabolical influence on him, because at the same time, his appearance seemed somewhat strange, and his musical advances were a true work of art. It was said that in most of his notes a strange note appeared which said "note 13". He could perform works of great difficulty with only one of the four strings of the violin (first removing the other three, so that they would not break during his performance), and continue playing with two or three voices, so that the violins seemed to be several. that sounded Furthermore, in most of his shows he used improvisation. This indicates how close his art was to the world of entertainment.

Paganini was known for his romantic, passionate and virtuous personality, reflected in his music and in the legends that surrounded him, which contributed to creating the image of a mythical figure. Paganini was considered an introverted, sensitive and extremely perceptive man.
